Located at the head of the Eden Valley, and in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Centre is ideally situated for exploring the valley itself, or the north Pennine and Howgill fells, and is within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The self-catering residential accommodation is sufficient for a group of up to 11 people, and comprises:
- 6 bedrooms
- Kitchen and adjoining 24-seat dining room
- Lounge/meeting room
- Conservatory - with magnificent views across the valley
The conference facilities and larger dining room, and the fact it can be hired on a daily basis, make the Centre an excellent venue for study groups and seminars.
Or where better to relax or exercise amid the beauty of creation!
Built in 1909 as a Methodist chapel to replace a smaller building which can still be seen close by, the centre can trace its roots back to the open-air evangelism of Wesley’s preachers a century earlier.
It remains dedicated to the glory of God, being available for hire by Christian churches, other groups with a Christian ethos, even family groups, who share the aims of the Trust - the teaching, practice and propagation of the Christian faith. The Trustees reserve the right to refuse to hire the Centre to any group which they believe falls short of these aims, or teaches or practices beliefs inconsistent with the Doctrinal Basis of the Trust.
